...News of NBT, a national TV channel, the Thai International Airways has confirmed that the couple did not show up at Beijing airport to board flight TG 615 which left Beijing on Sunday afternoon and to arrive at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport in the evening. Moreover, their names were also not shown on a later flight of the airways. However, the NBT quoted the lawyer team members of Thaksin as saying that the couple will show on court on Monday as scheduled. A source close to Thaksin also told Xinhua by telephone that the couple will be back to Bangkok on Monday. But the source was not sure if the couple will go to the court themselves or by sending representatives. The former premier, who was ousted by a military coup in 2006, and his wife are due to return to Bangkok to testify on Monday in a Supreme Court's hearing on a controversial land-purchase deal, in which both Thaksin and Pojaman have been accused of abuse of power by taking part in the bidding for land owned by the Financial Institutions Development Fund, a unit of the Bank of Thailand.
