Bangkok Airways will reduce around 10% more on fuel surcharge tariffs on its domestic flights and up to 30% on international flights.
The airline said in a statement it was cutting the surchages because of the fall in the cost of fuel, and to encourage travellers during the high-season.
The charge for domestic flights between Bangkok-Sukhothai, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Samui, and between Pattaya (Utapao)-Phuket, Samui, and between Chiang Mai-Samui will be reduced to USD20 per sector (from USD25). And the charge for international flights between Thailand-Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam will be USD25 per sector (from USD40). Forr Bangkok-Guilin th new surcharge will be USD40 per sector (from USD50), for Bangkok-Xi’an it will be USD60 per sector (from USD75), for Samui-Singapore it will be USD45 per sector (from USD60), for Bangkok-Maldives it will be USD90 per sector (from USD100) and for Bangkok-Japan the tariff will be USD95 per sector (from USD110).
Also effective on the same date, Siem Reap Airways International (FT) will apply a reduced fuel surcharge rate of USD20 (from USD25) to its domestic flights and a reduced rate of USD25 (from USD40) to its international flights between Cambodia and Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam.
