US General David Petraeus has told Iran the US is watching it very closely.
In asking Iran to stop backing extremist groups in Iraq, General Petraeus told a US-Islamic world forum in Qatar that the US was hoping for signals from Iran that it would be willing to cooperate with the Obama administration.
He said the US would remain firm on Iran ending its training, equipping and funding of extremist elements in the region, particularly in Iraq.
He said one of the major elements fuelling Iraqi violence was indeed the assistance provided by Iran.
He said: “There is absolutely no question about this, and there is also no question that some of this does continue to this day.
Iran has consistently denied the charge, even though it was once proved it had supplied lethal armour-piercing roadside bombs, which were used against US forces.

Some Fundamental Questions…… , about Our Democracy!
The Prelude to questions; We like to claim via Our Government, the will of the people, is what drives or is motivating Our National ACTS. Is such true?
We have observed Our Country killing people to do so called ‘goods’. ‘Goods’ that are in laws around the World and especially in the UN Charter and Treaties, called Murder.
Who will has perpetrated the murders? Is it, was it, would it be, the Will of the People? When did these discussions take place? What laws under Our Constitution do these ACTS find there Justice in?
On Feb. 16, 2001 the results of a ‘plan’ that has yet to be brought to the light of day, killed and injured Iraqi Citizens, that were hiding in a Bomb Shelter. A bomb shelter designed to protect them. They killed and injured by a bomb designed to overcome the bomb shelter design and to kill them! So what was the ‘PLAN’? Destroy the Iraqi Radar Defenses? The Military Infrastructure? Resoundly No! to each and every such question. The Plan was to Murder Saddam, but instead Murdered Innocent Iraqis. February 16th 2001, less than a month into a New Presidency. Was there a ‘WILL OF THE PEOPLE’? Obviously not.
A few Months later there was a Drone Attack that murdered People in Yemen riding in a car. One, an American Citizen. All the occupant were labeled suspected ‘Terrorists’ and were forgotten.
Over the next twenty months a huge number of such attacks were engaged in and kept mostly secret, and came to light of day by military bragging as the statues of Saddam were falling and being turned into scrap metal and some of which was being flown to Texas to become souvenirs on a Military Base.
The bragging happened to be recorded. It contains the Military Spokes Person holding a stack of Documents(his proof). The claim was there had been a ‘Plan’ to destroy the Iraqi Military Infrastructure leading up to the Spring Invasion THEREBY SAVING AMERICAN LIVES. The Documents were 50 Authorizations signed by Our Sect. of Defense, Rumsfeld. The 50 Authorizations were required because 30 or more IRAQI CITIZENS WERE LIKELY TO BE KILLED. Rumsfeld was the lowest allowed authorizor. The Bragger was asked, how many missions were engaged in that did not require authorization from rumsfeld? Answer, ‘not too sure but about 500 or a few more.’ So 29 or less murders local deciders could make those decisions!
Subsequently we have seen many drone attacks in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somolia, and Colombia. How many Murders? Well we know some ‘bad people’ were murdered’ But far more good people were also killed.
And then there is Our Constitution that requires Our Government to follow the Laws of the Constitution! I.
So as a People of we Live by Our Laws? Did We as a People express we needed laws allowing Murder? Did we discuss the rights and wrongs of these Murders?
Did Our Military Decide Murder was Good, because we are in the business of killing so any killing is OK? The experiences in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, and Colombia seem to be saying ‘yes’! All that matters is to have ‘GOOD INTENTIONS’, or as some have more accurately expressed, have a good intentions excuse available at all times.
So whose Plan do the Murders belong to? Obviously it is not simply the Military Leaders, We have Political Leaders involved also. The Republican Administration has been replaced by a Democratic Administration, and the Murders continue! The Murders are thus Systemic! But are they the Will of the People? The Will of the Constitution?
Have the Murders Solved anything? Or are we facing even larger Problems as a Result?
Do We now face even a larger number of enemies? Have We blindly and dumbly increased the Global Warming Rate with Our Warring Pollutions? Such is a National Secret, so obviously yes is the answer to this question!
None of the questions are/is unrelated to the worldwide crisises that are also engulfing everyones’ lives! So the fundamental questions become all the more important!
