Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama have battled it out on American TV in a tense debate that has highlighted the very different economic policies of candidates.
While Barack Obama referred to the worst crisis since the Great Depression, John McCain simply described Americans as being angry about the current financial predicament in the US.
During the second of three presidential debates, at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, the rivals clashed frequently as they both tried to turn on the premier performance.
Polls taken immediately after the debate, by CBS News and CNN, both judged Obama the winner.
In a bold effort to reverse his sagging support, John McCain told the audience that if he were to be elected president, he would order the Treasury to buy up Americans’ bad mortgages and renegotiate new loans to reflect the lower values of the homes.
He even suggested he might hire stock entrepreneur Warren Buffett to act as Treasury Secretary.
While Barack Obama agreed that Buffett would be a good choice, he also outlined a follow-up to the economic bailout of Wall Street that would target small businesses and individual investors, with tax cuts for the middle class and aid to state and local governments to boost road-building and other localised projects to create new jobs.
Obama blamed President Bush for turning the budget surpluses he had inherited into trillions of dollars of deficits.
McCain retorted that Obama was at fault for not voting for budget cuts and tax breaks.
Senator McCain also launched another assault on Obama’s so-called “cronies” from mortgage companies, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, without noting that his own campaign manager’s firm had received tens of thousands of dollars a month from Freddie Mac.
Poll suggests a win for Obama in second presidential debate
Out of Date with Premitive ideologies, rusted out McCain & his actress’s days are numbered. He better spend rest of his Golden Years on the Golf Course.
American unemployed VOTE for 2008 McCAIN-PALIN for US PresidentThis early morning the Wall Street’s stock market is still BACKFIRING on the black man Barack Hussein Obama position, the stock market is continually SINKING again. We are glad about last night’s presidential debate, Sen. JOHN McCAIN proposed his presidential Energy Policy of 45 clean-air light-water nuclear reactors construction nationwide. It is the right time during America is in economic recession, McCAIN’s Nuclear Energy Policy will boost the next 2 years and so of the United States’ continental domestic growth to challenge the “sinking” (international) global economy while our States’ interior industries don’t have enough exported goods will stay on US trade-deficit. If American unemployed want to survive on the next 2-year economic recession, YOU BETTER VOTE FOR 2008 McCAIN-PALIN as our US President, because McCAIN’s Nuclear Energy Policy can create hundreds thousands of new “low-tech” blue-collar construction jobs and the “high-tech” of applied science and engineering jobs; plus the offshore oil drilling jobs as well.
The postings by the voice of the crow(10:36am) have some truth, but…… , do the conclusions or the voices esposing them, tell the truth?
The US Economy certainly can use lower/low cost fuel and energy! The Trueism. But getting this truth the way proposed, does it solve Our National Problem?
The Speaker last nite, advocates looking at the Record. Well the new part added to the Voice of McCain, was his interest and the Republican Interest, in JOBS!
What has been the result of Republican interest in Jobs for the Past 30 years? And was McCain part of the Pack? No in Jobs! and Yes McCain was part of the pack that paved the way for trickle down and sending Jobs to Foreign Countries!
So how does the Record stand up to our lil poster’s version of truth?
good advice to the poolsAmerican unemployed VOTE for 2008 McCAIN-PALIN for US President

Poor souls !! Advocating…Nuclear Energy! Will be Our Savior!
Put a light bulb on every stove! Put a light bulb on every fuel filler cap!
Switch to Electric Cars and turn off all the household electricity!
The US has lost Our Manufacturing Ability! Factory after factory is empty and decaying! Mill after mill has been looted! And Closed!
GM wants 370 million dollars to build a New Plant and that sounds great untill you find out the work force for an engine plant is dropping from 3000 jobs down to 300 jobs and the millions of dollars are for automation!
Are you poor souls going to give the 2700 loosing free electricity? free anything?
I think not! I believe you are interested in sharing the economic profits from GM STOCK OWNERSHIP! Certainly you are not interested in US Citizens getting better Jobs! Jobs that Republicans sent overseas! 30 years of Job declines! Drilling wells and building Electricity generating plants without having a MARKET OR DEMAND, sounds like a campaign promise from a liar!
Hmm you need to make some very basic changes to your post.

Stop pointing the blame at just “Republicans” and try inserting the correct term “ruling elite”.
As America is coming to realise the robber barons are entrenched in both parties claiming to love the people and they do love screwing the people but just screwing is not love now is it?
Goldman Sachs has paid off both parties for the right to rob as they see fit.

Bring on the Eugenics plans.
JOHN McCAIN is our next presidentPlease do not blame on G W Bush for the last 8 years. The whole goverment is at false. This is sound like the Sports team, when the team is loosing the coach got all the negative comments. Oh please!!!! That’s a bunch of B.
Is there a relevant point to both sides acting in corruptions? I have on many occasions targeted Democrats, Most recently the candidate for Our Presidency, for seeking the exact topic Bribes! I also have taken him and the Leaders of both houses to task for the Bailout as being bribed. I have in particular chastised ms pelosie for here recents roles.
What I have not seen or had occassion to chastise democrats on has been the complicity of sending Jobs out of the Country. Such endeavors, especially the demise of right to work laws, have come from Corporate Leaders and the Republicans Administrations of the past 30 years. Which also include the time the Republicans controled the Congress while clinton broke the cycle!
So Yes I blame the Republicans, first because the initives came from them, were imposed under them. And when all the monies get put in piles labled Republican and Democrat, The Piles on one side is four times larger than the other! And when the Numbers of People in Leadership Roles get counted, The disparagy leaps to 10 or more to 1. I have been in seminars where its more like 1500 to 2.
Yes I blame the Republicans, because they have initiated and controled the issues. The Democrats that coincide with the republican policy are few in number, and while they to get some results, your process of citing them and their few ocassions, smacks of false attacks design to shed blame! You have the clothing of a rodeo clown attempting to distract the bull.
Try explaining the big picture of the huge runups of debt during republican administrations vs the clinton administration in the past 30 years and putting the blame on sorros!
