Keep mum on prez, UML tells Maoists

"We have been holding a series of bilateral and multi-lateral talks, only to return to square one," he said. UML general secretary Jhala Nath Khanal, Maoist chairman Prachanda, Dr Baburam Bhattarai, Mohan Baidya and Ram Bahadur Thapa were also present at the bilateral meeting held in Prachanda's Naya Bazaar residence.Meanwhile, an NC source told this daily that top leaders of the three major parties — CPN-Maoist, NC and UML — may hold a meeting tomorrow if the three-party's six-member taskforce reached a package deal on three key areas related to the fifth amendment to the interim constitution, peace process and power-sharing. After reaching an understanding on these issues, the three parties will hold a meeting with other political parties.
