Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala's health condition is satisfactory

The Nepali Congress (NC) has said Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala's health condition is satisfactory, expressing concern over media reports that his health had started deteriorating from last evening.Issuing a press statement Saturday, NC central office also said the Prime Minister would attend the mass gathering being organised by the ... ...at Khula Manch, Kathmandu, on Sunday.Quoting Dr Man Bahadur K.C of Shahid Gangalal Heart Centre, who was involved in Koirala's treatment at the latter's residence in Baluwatar, reports said that the octogenarian leader was detected with chest infection and asthma.According to K.C, those complications were, however, not new as Koirala has long been suffering from respiratory problems and is constantly under the supervision of doctors.Concerns about Koirala's health come at a time when the NC has started vigorous lobbying to make him the first president of republican Nepal.
