Hundreds and thousands of travelers have been stranded in the highways due to the indefinite strike.
The MPRF activists called an indefinite transport strike in Siraha since Thursday stating that the Maoist did not follow the government’s Common Minimum Programme (CMP).
The MPRF activists have accused the Maoist of taking control of a house and 11 bighas of land belonging to Birendra Shah, resident of Ramnagar, Morchiya-5.
Maoist CA members Mahendra Paswan and Jagat Yadav claim that Mohan Sahi, brother-in-law of former King Gyanendra Shah, owns the house and the land.
They said that they will distribute the land to the poor on Sunday.
Ramnagar Area Police Station informed that the Dalits have started building houses in the land.
Yesterday, MPRF activists and the locals clashed at Golbazaar in Siraha district.
The clash ensued after the MPRF cadres thrashed one Binod Kumar Yadav for defying the strike. Shortly, the irate locals vandalised the house of MPRF district committee member Shatrughna Saha when the MPRF activists hid in his home after beating up Yadav.
