With an aim to control poaching, the Chitwan National Park has deployed 200 more Nepal Army soldiers. The army strength was reinforced at the Amaltari post in Nawalparasi for the security of wildlife, said park's conservation officer Megh Bahadur Pandey.Five companies of soldiers under the Gorakh Battalion were securing the park, ...
covers parts of Chitwan and Nawalparasi districts. The reinforcement is meant to control poaching in Nawalparasi, Pandey said, adding that the remaining troops are working to control poaching in Chitwan, Pandey said.Until 2001, there were 34 security posts in the park, Pandey said, adding, "At one point, the number of posts was decreased to seven. At present, there are 49 posts in the park," he said.

Very very good that Chitwan NP is receiving additional security now. So very many rhinos have been poached and so many other animals killed because of the Civil War that made the army posts dwindle to 7; the soldiers huddled for their personal safety. Now we see an increase that is but a fraction of the ex-king's security ... one human family of extraorinarly minor use and negative value, has been worth more to Nepal than preservation of it's diverse species. These magnificent animals evolved over billions of years; they face extermination by human greed! and unchecked proliferation towards 7 billion. Do we genuinely want to overrun and destroy every single speck of our only home? My proposal is: Zero security, and definitely No Royal-Palace Substitute for an evil ex-king, and super-abundant security for Nepal's priceless heritage and diversity of animals ... we at least still have a BIT of the natural world remaining.
P.S. A loved and good king doesn't need security and doesn't get deposed.
