President Yadav to table govt's programme on Wednesday

The announcement of the annual policy and programmes was held back due to delay in the formation of a new government though the Interim Constitution entails the government to announce its annual programme before the beginning of a new fiscal year.

The government will bring in the new fiscal budget for the year 2065/66 (i.e. 2008/09) after passing the policy and programmes following discussions on it.

Speaking at today’s session, lawmakers condemned the government saying that thousands of people were displaced and property worth billions of rupees was destroyed due to government’s failure to properly curb the Koshi flood and its aftermath.
