...decision has further created uncertainty over the formation of the government on time-- the bickering over the sharing of the ministerial portfolios remain unsettled yet.

The UML, the third largest party in the Constituent Assembly and the second largest one in the Maoist-led alliance, has urged the Maoists to withdraw their decision, stating that it totally goes up against the previous agreements and understandings that were the bases of the formation new alliance.

UML leader Bishnu Poudel said that the Maoists’ decision has overshadowed the principle issue regarding the power sharing and formation of the government. He said, “The UML will strictly raise the issue in the next meeting with the Maoists.

The MPRF has also urged the Maoists to withdraw its decision.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the top leaders of UML and MPRF is underway in the capital. However, the meeting’s venue has not been revealed yet.

The two parties concluded that the Maoists’ reluctance to share the ministerial portfolios, which was agreed prior to the election of prime minister, has hindered the formation of cabinet.

UML leader Bharat Mohan Ahhikari informed about the ongoing talks with MPRF regarding the conflict in sharing ministerial portfolios and cooperation with the Maoists.

Also, UML General Secretary Jhala Nath Khanal is busy on consulting the CA members representing the UML today.

A joint meeting of the three-party alliance is scheduled for later today after the talks between the UML and MPRF ends.
