PM meets TMDP leaders

KATHMANDU, Nov 7 - Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Friday discussed with the leaders of Terai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP), who have been expressing dissatisfaction over the formation of Army Integration Special Committee (AISC) that will look after the integration process of the Maoist combatants into Nepal Army.

...the prime minister’s office in Singha Durbar reportedly discussed the latest discontentment raised by the TMDP leaders and the dialogue with armed outfits of the Terai region.During the meeting, TMDP Chairman Mahanta Thakur expressed discontent for excluding his party representative in the AISC and demanded PM’s explanation on the definition of major parties.

Chairman Thakur urged PM Dahal to restructure the AISC and include his party in the committee.The meeting was attended by PM Dhala, Finance Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai, TMPD Chairman Mahanta Thakur and Hirdayesh Tripathi.

The formation of AISC committee has drawn flak from various parties including the opposition party Nepal Congress and TMDP.
