PM Dahal warns of stern action against dishonest civil servants
KATHMANDU, Sept 7 - Prime Minister and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Sunday warned that the government will take stringent action against the civil servants who do not work in apropos to the change and who fail to carry out their duties honestly.

However, the PM said that those who give continuity to the misconduct and malpractice as in the past will not be spared.
”We are serious about avoiding malpractices in the government sector,” said he, “And, this new leadership (Maoist) is committed to go against all malpractice.
While informing that the government’s plans and policies would be unveiled next week, he said that the civil servants have to play a crucial role to make it successful.
“I give special direction to you (civil servants) to implement the government’s policy, programmes and new budget honestly and responsibly such that the fixed goal will be achieved on time,” said Dahal.
PM Dahal also said that the government’s success and failure depends on the civil servants. He added the people’s aspiration will also fall short if the present government becomes unsuccessful.
On the occasion, the prime minister felicitated twenty outstanding civil employees with the Best Government Employee Award for the year 2008. Among those receiving the awards are: Kishor Thapa, Nawaraj Bista, Laxmi Bhushal, Birendra Kumar Mishra and Shovakanta Nepal. Bista received the award posthumously.
Chief Secretary Bhoj Raj Ghimire said that more responsibilities have come upon the shoulder of civil servants after the Constituent Assembly elections.
