PM Dahal arrives in Delhi

Upon his arrival here at the airport today, the PM expressed his belief that his second official visit to India will be fruitful and successful.
He said that his visit will be important for accumulating support in Nepal’s peace process, new constitution drafting and for the financial investment.
The PM informed that he will underscore the need for implementing the agendas which were discussed during his first official visit to India at the meeting.
Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to address the inauguration ceremony of the BIMSTEC summit on Thursday.
He will also hold a group meeting with different government bodies and head of the states tomorrow.
Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh at around 6 pm today and Thai Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat on Thursday.
On Friday Prime Minister Dahal and his team will visit Tehri Dam in northwestern India and return home the same evening.
PM Dahal is accompanied by Minister for Water Resources Bishnu Poudel, Chief Secretary Dr Bhoj Raj Pokharel, Secretary for Water Resources Shankar Koirala, PM’s foreign adviser Hira Bahadur Thapa, PM’s private assistant Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Chief of Protocol Dilip Poudel, two security personnel of the prime minister and three journalists from state-owned media.
Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav left for New Delhi last evening and Foreign Secretary Gyan Chandra Acharya left on Monday to participate in the ministerial and secretary-level meetings of BIMSTEC respectively.
Meanwhile, BIMSTEC foreign ministerial level meeting concluded in New Delhi today.
The meeting rectified and decided to establish a BIMSTEC Tourism Center in Nepal as per the proposal forwarded by Foreign Minister Yadav.
