PFN ratifies party chief Sherchan's suspension

KATHAMNDU, Aug 6 - People's Front Nepal (PFN) has ratified the suspension of party President Amik Sherchan for "going against party policy".An emergency meeting of the PFN held on Tuesday ratified the decision of its parent party CPN-Unity Center Masal to suspend Sherchan from the post of president for three ... ...and from the position PFN parliamentary party leader on the same charge.The meeting appointed PFN leader Leelamani Pokhrel as the acting president.The Unity Center Masal had decided to suspend Sherchan a couple of days back for voting against the party direction during the presidential election.The party has also forwarded the proposal of forming a coalition government of leftist parties if the attempts to form a consensual government fail.
