New UNMIN deputy chief appointed

KATHMANDU, Sept 18 - United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon appointed Karin Landgren as his Deputy Special Representative for Nepal.She will be serving as the deputy chief at the United Missions Mission in Nepal (UNMIN).

Landgren previously worked for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) as country representative to Eritrea, Singapore ...

She was the UNHCR's Chief of Standards and Legal Advice, and has published and lectured widely on humanitarian, refugee and child protection issues.
