The woman was stranded at the airport after her employer did not turn up at the airport to pick her up.
It is learnt that Gurung took a flight to Qatar from New Delhi airport after she could not legally come to Qatar from Nepal to work as domestic worker.
Although women from Nepal are legally prohibited to come to all of the Gulf countries, including Qatar, to work as domestic workers, the Nepali women who have been coming illegally from time to time fall in trouble just like Dil Kumari Gurung when they come.
The prohibition, however, does not apply for Nepali women going To Gulf countries to work as waitresses, cleaners, salesgirls, security and other office works.
First secretary at the Nepalese Embassy to Qatar Ramkaji Khadka told RSS that Gurung would be sent back to Nepal in 15 days after fulfilling the necessary procedures.
According to the victimised woman, she arrived in Qatar in illegal way via New Delhi. She said she has not paid her Nepali agent.
Gurung said that she wanted to come to Qatar for work as domestic worker after her husband married another woman.
