Nepal Asks PM Koirala to Send Prez to SAARC Summit

Former general secretary of the CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal today asked the Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala to send the president-led Nepali delegation to the fifteenth SAARC summit due to be held this week.During a meeting at his residence at Koteshwor this morning, Nepal said that the participation of the ... ...government in the regional summit would be meaningless. “Newly elected president should lead the Nepali delegation to the summit,” Nepal said. The government had decided to send 35-member team led by Koirala to the summit yesterday.After the meeting, Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula told reporters that the duo discussed the government formation and other political issues. According to him, the leaders agreed for consensus politics in the coming days.
