NC leader Kul Bahadur Gurung, as the eldest CA member, has been the acting CA Chairman.“We are concentrating to ensure win for our common candidate,” NC general secretary Bimalendra Nidhi said, adding that his party’s central meeting also directed NC CA members to stand firmly behind alliance’s candidate. NC leader Arjun Narsingh KC, UML leader Bhim Rawal and MJF leader Sharad Singh Bhandari are the members of the newly formed task force.Nidhi said they would think about government formation only after the election of CA Chairman.Meanwhile, CPN-Maoist chairman Prachanda said his party would endeavour to find a common candidate for the post of Chairman and would field a candidate only if they failed to forge a consensus with other parties.The election of vice-chairman of CA will be held after electing the CA Chairman. Chairman of the House sets the date and determines the process of election for the post of vice-chairman.
