NC, UML decide to move under common agreement

...the second and third largest parties in the Constituent Assembly (CA) also discussed the role of the CPN-Moist after the historical election in April, at the meeting held at the UML central office at Balkhu in the capital, NC General Secretary Bimelendra Nidhi informed.The UML leaders had reportedly said that it was not possible to work together with the Maoists saying that their role and behaviour were not in favour of national and unity.It has been said that the NC and UML agreed to move forward with a common view regarding their support to the CPN-Maoists, the largest party in the CA, at today's meeting.The parties are meeting again tomorrow to formalise today's agreement.UML General Secretary (GS) Jhal Nath Khanal and former GS Madhav Kumar Nepal, NC Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel, Krishna Sitaula and Bimelendra Nidhi, among others, were present at the meeting.The political parties have intensified consultations after President Dr Ram Baran Yadav invited the Maoists to form the next government.
