Kantipur Kosh gives 8.2m for flood victims

Speaking on the occasion, Sirohiya said Kantipur Publications has been raising fund for the cause of flood victims for the last few years as part of its corporate social responsibility.
"There seems to be scanty attention given to flood victims in the far western region. So, we have decided to give the fund collected under the second phase to them," said Sirohiya.
Earlier, the Kosh had handed Rs 11.5 million to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal for the cause of flood victims in Sunsari and Saptari districts in eastern Nepal.
Receiving the cheque, Minister Gautam thanked Kantipur Publications for the noble mission. He also assured that the fund would be used to help flood victims in far-western Nepal.
Kantipur Publications director Rameshwar Thapa and representatives of the partner organisations of Kantipur Kosh including Siddhartha Bank General Manager Sundar Prasad Kandel and Shobha Shrestha of Nepal Investment Bank were present at the function.
