Indefinite transport strike cripples life in Birgunj

BIRGUNJ, Aug 14 - Normal has been thrown out of gear in Birgunj on Thursday due to an indefinite transport strike called by students demanding concession in transport fare and action against transport workers.The markets remained closed and students were forced stay out of school following the strike. The agitating ... ...vandalised a vehicle belonging to Dabur Nepal Pvt Ltd carrying its staffers for defying the strike.The students association called for a strike protesting against the Parsa district administration for failing to taking action against the transport workers who allegedly manhandled students a few days back.Police rounded up around 7 people suspecting their involvement in manhandling the students yesterday.Likewise, the strike in Birgunj has also affected normal life in Bara district as well.
