Indefinite strike in Birgunj

BIRGUNJ, Aug 14 - Students called for an indefinite transportation strike in Birgunj from Thursday demanding for the concession in the transportation fare.The markets and the education institutions have been shut due to the strike.The irate students vandalised a vehicle belonging to Dabur Nepal Pvt Ltd carrying its staffs for ... ...the strike.The students association called for a strike protesting against Birgunj administration for not taking any action towards the transport entrepreneurs who had manhandled the students some weeks ago.Meanwhile the police had taken under custody some 7 people suspecting for involving in manhandling the student yesterday.Likewise, the strike in Birgunj has also affected Bara district.
