High-Level Political Coordination Committee gets full shape, finally

It has been agreed that Maoist leader Dev Gurung will coordinate the 12-member committee comprising two members each from the ruling six for the time being.

Besides Gurung, the other HLPCC members are Barsha Man Pun from the CPN-Maoist, former UML General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal and leader Surendra Pandey, Upendra Yadav and Sarat Sing Bhandari from Madhesi Janadhikar Forum, Laxman Lal Karna and Ramnaresh  Rai Yadav from Nepal Sadbhawana Party, Giriraj Mani Pokharel and Lila Mani Pokharel from Rastriya Janamorcha and Sunil Manandhar from CPN-United.

The CPN-United will provide the name of its other representative tomorrow.

The working guidelines and scope of the committee is expected to be finalised by tomorrow's meeting.

The HLPCC has been formed to suggest the government on political issues and enhance coordination among the ruling parties.
