Khadka who has been projected as an NC cadre was allegedly beaten up by the police on Wednesday night at Balkumari in Lalitpur district. Khadka succumbed to injuries same night.

Speaking on behalf of the government at the CA today, Minister for Water Resources Bishnu Poudel said that the committee would submit the report within 15 days of its formation.

He assured that the government will take action against the culprit and the victim’s family will be provided with compensation.

Meanwhile, Minister Poudel also urged the agitators to withdraw all protest programmes.
