Fuel supply cut further

Nepal Oil Corporation’s regional office in Biratnagar effected significant cut in the fuel supply on Sunday.NOC regional manager Pushkar Dutt said a decision was taken to supply 100 to 150 kilolitres of petroleum products to the eastern region from Sunday though the region needs at least 450 kilolitres of the ... ...daily.NOC was forced to cut the supplies, as it is incurring a daily loss due to the non-clearance of the outstanding bills to the Indian Oil Corporation, he added.During normal times, the NOC used to supply 450 kl of fuel a day but since a few months, it cut the daily supply to 250 kl.According to the NOC regional office, the NOC eastern region has a stock of 2,300 kl of diesel, 600 kl of kerosene and 400 kl of petrol.
