Flood victims clash with police in Sunsari

Residents of Shripur VDC who are now taking shelter at the Koshi embankments called for a transport strike saying that they were not provided with relief package. The displaced attacked the police personnel who had reached the area to resume transportation.
Armed Police Force arrested Jugananda Jha, Shyam Sundar Pathak and Vaidya Nath Pathak.
Meanwhile, Amlekhgunj depot of the Nepal Oil Corporation provided about 8,000 litres kerosene to the camps in Sunsari for cooking and oil lamps.
Each displaced family of Sunsari and Saptari districts will get two litres of kerosene, district official Jiwak Mishra informed.
