Speaking at inaugural of a two day symposium on private public partnership in the capital today, PM Dahal said the process of economic development must be headed in a new way for the sustainable development. “For that, there is no alternative to private public partnership,†he opined.
The PM said that decision will be made to end the problems related to big projects, and urged the foreign investors to cooperate with the private sectors and invest in the country. He asked the investors to put in their money in big projects including-East-West Railway, hydroelectricity, and tunnel way, in partnership with the government.
To make the people feel the economic transition with the political change, the PM said, the government will bring in new programmes.
At the programme, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) Chairperson Kush Kumar Joshi stressed on the need for strong relationship between private and public sectors for the economic development.He urged the government to form a high level committee for the promotion and development of private and public sectors.
Meanwhile, other speakers at the programme said that the government should invest in tourism, local development, education, agriculture, physical development, energy, health and other sectors for the encouragement of the public and private sectors.
The programme is organised by the FNCCI in association with the Nepal government.
