Finance Ministry to confer with donor agencies

KATHMANDU, Sept 29 - Ministry of Finance is holding a meeting with donor agencies on Monday to inform about the budget presented by the Maoist-led government with the hope of attracting foreign aid.A source reported that the Ministry will discuss about the goals and target of the budget.

The meeting is scheduled to commence at 3pm.

The government aims to attract Rs 63 billion of foreign aid out of the Rs 236 billion budget.

The opposition parties have been criticising the government’s decision to come up with a budget of such high figure depending solely on foreign aid.
