...demands.The Assembly, which has been expressing its objection against the Madhes province demand raised by the Madhesi parties, has called for a transport strike on 4th and 5th July in Terai and in the capital.Issuing a press release today, the assembly accused the major parties of taking the decision on Terai issues through "a room meeting" by shadowing people's mandate.The Tharu's orgnisation has charged that attempts have been made to convert their land - Tharuhat into Madhes and urged Constituent Assembly members to be aware and alert to the issue.Only yesterday, the major three parties had decided to introduce a supplementary amendment bill along with the Fifth Amendment bill to the interim constitution to address the demands floated by the Madhes-based parties. The meeting had agreed to incorporate the provisions of an autonomous Terai region and mass recruitment of Madhesis into the security bodies in the proposed supplementary bill along with the Fifth Amendment bill.
