The District Administration Offices of Bara and Parsa have issued curfew orders effective from 8 am this morning for an indefinite period. The curfew will be in force in areas covering Surya Tobacco Company at Simara along the Pathalaiya-Birgunj road section of Bara to the border of Parsa.
In Parsa district, the curfew will be effective up to the area of National Medical College in the east, eastern area of the Ranighat Sirsiya River in the west, Bara district border area, Parwanipur of Lipanibirta VDC in the north and Indian border area in the south, said the offices.
In Rajbiraj too, the District Administration office of Saptrai has issued curfew order effective from 8 am to 6 pm today. Protesters agitating against the yesterday’s death of a person Gultan Das in Rajbiraj, clashed with police this morning. They also burnt tyres and blocked the roads during the protests. Curfew has also been imposed in Sunsari from 6 am for an indefinite period.
