...issuing licences to persons who had not even attended the test required to get the licence.The anti-corruption graft said that the officials were charged with encouraging embezzlement and misusing their positions.The CIAA said that the officials provided licences without even carrying out proper studies of the documents and failed to furnish reasonable answers when asked why they did so.The CIAA has also given some suggestions to the TMO in order to improve its functions.The CIAA advised the TMO, which raises around Rs 0.6 million in revenue, to keep the record of sensitive documents like licences in a safe and systematised manner and to take actions against those who try to cheat.
