Cabinet to nominate 26 CA members today

KATHMANDU, July 2 - The Council of Ministers is scheduled to nominate the 26 members to the Constituent Assembly (CA) on Wednesday.A cabinet meeting has been scheduled at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar this evening to nominate the 26 CA members, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Shyam ... Gupta informed.The nine top parties in the CA have already proposed the names of their representatives to be elected to the CA.The Council of Ministers is to ratify the recommended names.Meanwhile, the cabinet meeting is also expected to decide the official residence for the president.The government has been opting the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ‘Shital Niwas' situated at Maharajgung as the President's resident.According to reports, the Foreign Ministry will be allocated in the Narayanhiti Museum premises if its building is chosen for the President's residence.
