Cabinet meeting due to pass budget today

KATHMANDU, Jan 19 - The Council of Ministers is due to pass the budget for the fiscal year 2065/66 budget on Friday.After the approval of the cabinet meeting, Finance Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai will present the budget at the legislative parliament session of the Constituent Assembly (CA) today.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will brief on his recent India visit at the meeting.

It has been learnt that the PM will confer with the ministers about his participation at the United Nations General Assembly which is scheduled to start from Saturday.

Meanwhile, today’s cabinet meeting will not discuss fulfilling the vacant posts of the secretaries. Decision will be taken later after the Dashain, one of the ministers informed.
