Cabinet decides to transfer secretaries

Likewise, the meeting held at the prime minister’s office decided to send Debendra Bahadur Thapa to the Ministry of General Administration. Thapa was deputed at the cabinet office earlier.
According to Minister for Information and Communicaiton Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the cabinet decided to appoint Purna Ratna Bhurtel secretary for the Ministry for Peace and Reconstruction.
Likewise, Abhinandan Kumar Shrestha has been deputed at the Ministry for Culture and State Restructuring as secretary.
The meeting also discussed the government policies and programmes to be presented in the next legislative-parliament session of the Constituent Assembly, PM’s upcoming visit to India, relief for and rehabilitation of the Saptakoshi flood victims and the tenure of senior police officers.
The meeting decided to prepare a 92-point directive to control government expenses, and re-establishment of a committee to look after the Maoist combatants.
Meanwhile, Minister for Health Giriraj Mani Pokhrel informed that the next cabinet meeting is scheduled for Monday to discuss the government’s policies and programmes.
