Cabinet approves Matrika's resignation

Matrika had tabled his resignation yesterday after the CPN-Maoist Secretariat meeting directed him to make a public apology.

Today’s meet also discussed about Prime Minister Dahal’s visit to US. Dahal is leaving for New York today to attend the general assembly of the United Nations.

The Cabinet also terminated Khagendra Mani Pokhrel from the post of Director-General of Department of Transport Management (DoTM).

A Minister informed that the action was taken since Pokhrel was taking bribe while working.

Today’s Cabinet session also directed the concerned committees to fill the vacant positions in the ministries.

The meeting also decided to provide Rs 50,000 to president of Federation of Nepalese Journalists, Dharmendra Jha for medical treatment. Jha was injured in a road mishap last month in the capital.
