Japanese bosses overwork staff to death

Corporate bosses in Japan are under the spotlight after the death of an employee due to overwork.The latest case has been officially determined to have been caused by the hardships of working for Japanese companies.Takayuki Maezawa was the second employee at restaurant chain Skylark to die from overwork in the ...
...four years.Mr Maezawa died of a brain haemorrhage having done 200 hours of overtime in a month.A spokesman for Skylark has said the will accept the decision seriously and try harder to oversee operations.Death from overwork, known as 'karoshi', has long been a serious issue in Japan, where an average worker uses less than 50 per cent of paid holidays.
