TU revising BA, MA curriculum

"We are hopeful we can implement the revised curriculum for Master's level from the start of the new academic session," he said.The curriculum for Bachelor and Master levels under TU were subjected to changes some 10 years ago. "Normally, we used to revise our curriculum every five years," said Khanal. "However, this could not happen for the last 10 years due to various reasons.Khanal informed that they are currently holding interactions with experts and stakeholders in various parts of the country to determine what types of changes were required to meet the needs of the country.PCL curriculum same for last 15 years!The curriculum for the Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL), except compulsory and major English, has not been revised for more than a decade and half in view of the government decision to scrap the PCL altogether."When we raise the issue of revising the PCL curriculum officials concerned are unwilling to take up the issue, pointing out that the PCL itself is being phased out soon," said Khanal. "However, the PCL is still in place even though the government decision on the phase out goes back some 16 years.The government recognized 10+2 level as school education and announced a phase out of PCL some 16 years ago.
