Indian aid for education

Kathmandu, August 24:

Indian ambassador Rakesh Sood laid the foundation stone for buildings of Shree Janapriya Multiple Campus, Pokhara and Shree Jana Adarsha Secondary School, Kobhang at separate functions held on Friday and Saturday.

...56.17 million provided by the government of India. As the existing infrastructure was inadequate and dilapidated, the embassy said, the new buildings would meet the requirements of growing number of students in the college and enable the school to upgrade to the higher secondary level, said the release.

On the occasion, the ambassador underlined the importance of educational infrastructure in Nepal’s overall development. He also hoped that various projects being implemented under Indo-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme would make a significant contribution in development.
