Supermarket prices go up in vegetable section

Fruit and vegetable prices have risen by up to 30 per cent at leading supermarket chains in the UK over the past year.
The massive increase has been put down to poor crop harvests and high supply chain costs.

Carrots have also risen by 24.6 per cent while tomatoes and onions went up by 20.3 per cent.
Apples and oranges both rose by 16 per cent.
The only vegetable which dropped in price was broccoli, which went down by 25.9 per cent.
